Friday practice...and what a practice then..

Arrived late (in my opinion) around 16 hundred hours to do some short practice this Friday. This will be the first drive since i repaired my Team Bluegroove BG4 from UMB mechanical. Ok so i lost 1mm groundclearance but rather that then no driving :). The track we buildt was one of the best fr a very long time! Technical and fast. Robban and i are the only 190mm driver @ the club. There was a few AE rc18b´s and 2 Shark ST´s. I think it´s kind of fun from almost "touring setup" to up to date´s new set up that i tested...

The Novak 8.5T is quick, real quick so we decided to test the Novak 10.5T...would it provide enough with powa ?!. But before that i went from 35w oil rear and 40w oil in front to: 30w rear and 35w front...Medium thin Swaybar 1.1mm instead of huge 1.6mm. In combo with the 10.5T motor that i shrouded with a Robban drilled Piniong 15 or 16T..man this is it!!! silk smooth, fast as XXXXX, but the trottle curve...i can´t find the words for this, but it is waaaay better then the 8.5T motor..maximum temp i achieved was 85...and that was under heavy throttle...There is no doubt that the 10.5T is the motor to run..i have more controll over the car..ok, it is not so fast under acc, but the difference is so little that it does not matters...




Talked to Robban under Sat and he went down to the track and ran some packs..with Rubber tires. I had a small talk to another friend that is involved in the indorrs.se 1/18 offroad cup here in Sweden..and i am not sure if i am gonna buy some rubbers...have to think twice about that. But i ordered Duratrax motorcooler..see if that will help me :) Coming Weekend there is no practice.

Hehe, vet inte vart ja skall börja, men i Fredags va planen att komma iväg i "bra tid".......Givetvis ere Fredag o det går sällan som man tänkt sig. Dessutom har ja haft kvällsjobb o man va lite slajten o vända om Torsdag kväll till "fredag dag". Hur som haver, väl nere på klubben, så börja vi snajda till banan, o vilken bana sedan då , helt underbar, vi fick BRA respons på denna bana. För min o Robbans del varen utan tvekan mumma...våra bilar gick nå grönXXXX. Några AE RC18 va på plats me 2 LRP Shark ST. Jag o Robban kör uteslutande 190mm bilar o anser att det är framtiden. E lite nöjd, eftersom ja har gått från nästan "touring setup" på 1000w o 1.6mm swaybars o flera mm i limiters i dämparna. Numera kör jag

35w olja fram - Medium fjäder.
30w olja bak - Medium fjäder.
Bytt ut 1.6mm swaybar mot tunnare 1.1mm

Resultatet vart enormt, en bil som har en arbetande fram o bakvagn, man kan se hur den jobbar på banan. Jag har som bekant kört 8.5T för att "många" har sagt detta...o det e inge tvivel att den e ruggigt snabb...lite för snabb ? framförallt e accet nå enormt. Vi gjorde en helomvändning o monterade 10.5T motorerna.. jag gick från 12T/54T me 8.5T till 15 (eller16)T/54T o 10.5T motor...o toppfarten vart nästan snabbare, o accet ere absolut inget fel på, men den enorma skillnaden ligger i responsen, curvan o känslan e juh löjligt underbar!! o sedan har juh Robban borrat som en "gud" en 2mm piniong till 3.17 o den passa SMUTTA, o bilen vart som en husmus på banan!!...nästan lite kusligt :D.

Work,work and more work...

Working hours are 14:00 to 22:00...Hope i can leave my topdeck to toe local PO for sending to my friend. Maybe this or next week this CAD is done? and i can send it to the Firm that will makeém ?

Va lite segt efter middan i går, jobbar nämligen mellan 14:00 o 22:00...sen kom man in i andra andningen..gick bra faktiskt. Min arbetskamerat Björn gör det hela så mycket lättare, hade int stannat en min om han hade lämnat skeppet...Hur som haver, i da får ja mitt "lagade,frästa" BG4 chassi, hoppas CA ihop det Torsdag. Köra en skvätt p åLördag o senare åka till min Mor på öppna huset i min gamla skola...

Tp-Parts Tp4 Chassi conversion in progress

Yes, i have after some serious thinking, design my own chassi, and letting a real company do them. Since they do work with CF Daily it will be 100% Symetrical, and state of the art finish.

I have not decid yet if they will be 190mm or 188mm wheelbase. I heard that in germany they have 177mm maximum wheelbase.. If the cost wont run away maybe i will have one 177mm chassi and one 188mm chassi for sale.

It will be app 4-5mm wider on each side the the Stock BG4, to allow better stops for the lipo packs. It will not have any NimH slots, only flatout for lipo. Maybe a cradle will be nice.

Thickness of this chassi will be 2mm or 2.5mm i have not decided that yet

Layout of the toppdeck, will be different form the regular BG4 or the Xray m18Pro truck...it will be similar to the Protruck, but little wider on the waist and with no "holes" on it.. thickness will be same as chassi 2mm or 2.5mm...

I have some mounts to use carbon fibre shocktowers...have to see if they can work, maybe i will produce some of thoose to?

Short update on Fridays testing...

The BG4 performed real well!!! it was exploding fast and quick..it took cornes like nothing else on the track! I and Robert H were the only "190" cars..sad i hit a concrete pillar at the end of that evening. Front of my cf chassi is of, and i had to repair it...it is a little odd design (just to get more flex for outdoor use, if you ask me) It is repaired and i will ask my friend Robin @ UMB.se if he have some spare time to help me with some cuting work...

Fy satan i gatan va bilarna går!! ingen, ytterst få hänger med oss...bilarna går osm på räls, men lite mer tuning o sen erom fulkomliga. Tyvärr knäckte ja chassit i slutet på Freda kvällen, o de va ba åka hem...funderade ett ta på o vänta tillls mina nya TP4 chassin e klara, men skippar detta. Utan ja lagar o ser till att köra lite...

No it is not a new chassi, still my old, but since it is designed for loose tracks or "real offroad" it was way to soft for my taste. I CA glued 2 BG4 chassi + topdeck together..reciving 3mm thickness...it is almost unflexible :D.. But with this chassi i have lost app 1mm of my maximal outtravel (chassi/ground) so i talked to my good friend at UMB.se and he helped me, he took off 1mm on hight on the toppdeck and chassi....and still it is hard to flex...nice.

Hope i quit early today so i can make some packs..

Team Bluegroove BG4 190mm converison | Test II

The rear alu Xray diff is the best i ever have tried..the stock Plastic is real good, but they are useless vs Alu..svitched to a NIB front , 3 packs..and it is useless... The car is performing real well and still small-tuning on the setup. Dismounted the rear Swaybar and that was the trick. Cant see any idea at all why use a 165mm car again...

I da vare nöta....va lite väl mycke styrning, men ja fick tips efter ett tag av Robban, tock av Bakre krängaen, o vipps va bilen osm ny, INge mer nervös under inbromsning...na nu känns det bra, dessutom körde ja CA på frampupperna o det gjorde massor, inte lika explosiva styrning, men mer förlåtande...Bilen går osm en raket, o ja bara väntar på att få sätta fart med "riktiga chassina"...De va bara ja o Robban, sen kom "The Myth" me sin 170mm bil...
