TP18BE Pro | 165mm wb, 1/18 Belt driven car

Today the first parts arrived for my new upcoming "car". It will be called TP18BE Pro, From the beginning it is a beltdriven Touringcar like the Xray M18Pro, but this one is Belt driven. less torque steer. Sad it only have 150mm wheelbase. To fix this, i have searched and did find a company located in Uppsala, app 70km north of Stockholm. They come up with 20 belts, that is same theeth, but 4mm wide (stock is 3.17mm) and will give me app 165mm wheelbase..It was real costy to get thoose belts, but i really hope they are worth it :) . And my first test, with this car, was as i said, the 150mm verison, and the steering is a big issue...Since the Xray M18Truck, that i use the steering bellcrank, will touch the belt, at upper front..i had to raise the topdeck app 6mm, lower the tower 6mm to get a descent ride/droop. But my new steering will use Steeringposts from the Vendetta MB4 buggy. Hope it will work, i think i can find the plastic steeringkit this weekend, and start fabricating the chassi...

I dag kom de första delarna för min kommande satsning inom "byggandet".Jag har som bekant testat min modifierade 1/18 touring beltdrivna bil, o med lyckat resultat...den va dock den "första testen", masa nya ideér har kommit, o har troligen några ess i armen numera..
Eftersom 150mm hjulbas ger ett ganksa hettsigt beteende jämfört med dagens flesta 1/18 bilar på 165mm så valde ja att finna andra remmar...o de va inte lätt kan ja säga. Men ja hittade en firma i Uppsala o beställde 20 remmar, o dom kom i dag, ser kanon ut. Styrningen har varit ett stort dilemma på denna bil, iom att remmen kommer ut i toppen på diffhusen under topdeck, så kan man inte nyttja traditionell Xray M18T bellcrank utan ja fick då höjja tppdecket 6mm, sänka tornen dito för att få till den någelunda..Men nu har ja tagit hela styrdetaljerna från Anderson MB4 o hoppas ja kan få till det hela.
