TEK18T from Exotek - 542gr of killa!

Ive seen it!, tested it!!...this little 542gr 1/18 car is a dream...(AL pics are form my Clubmates car )

People say it is smaller, but this one, when it is done its 172mm wheelbase, and with a Novak mongoose and a 8.5T motor it weights with CS hardcase lipo and a big Rx 542gram Race ready!!

Mine will be ready this week!

Practice report from Skarpnack indoor | 1/18

Last days there have been heavy snowfall here...hard wind to, and cold. But we do not give up, i have done some more Foam tires for my TBG BG4 and i thought i should test the new Bowtie on M-Chassi rims..

Since there have been some water issues @ club, we could not use the whole area. The left upper corner was watered, so the track had to follow the wet spot. From drivers stand, we ran Left down the straight, and take of right direct up in a table jump, 180 back over 3 whopies , i run them in single double, full to the low table, easy up, land and direct right over the "ugly" jump in the "pit"....right, smal ltrottle and take the table, do a 180 to the best par...Whopie to step on, then use the whoie on top of taable to step of...or go over first whopie, and jump over the table...then almost 180 back on straight, but first 2 wopies...

My car is really dialed, to bad something was caught in my diffs, so i had to tear the car apart after 1 pack..the Xray Alu diff in the rear is silk smoth after 50-100 packs...sad the outdrives are really wear....i had really good feedback for the track...fun, it is my first, well Robban H helped me with the low table to the pit.

I tested the Bowtie rubbers on the car, and i was amaized how good they performed since last test..that was a bad one, we used to big rims, and or soft/hard foams...those YR M-chasi rims working ace with the Proline Bowtie, but i had not so much time for adjustment, so i ran 2 packs and decided to go back, i know they work now, and i will go back and run them...the Foams are outstanding...

Ja va skall man säga?..1/8 Nitro va inte speciellt poppis när det kom upp på tapeten. Som det ser ut nu måste ja vänta ett tag o försöka lösa detta på något sätt...hoppas jag.

Summary - 190mm car from Team Bluegroove

As ya all know i been using a converison kit for my Team Xray M18T Pro it´s the Team Bluegroove BG4, it transforming it ti a 190mm wb racing car. (pics can be seen in my gallery).
The original chassi is made of 1.5mm CF same for topdeck, for indoor carpet racing it is little to soft for my taste. So i bought a spare and glued them together..i cnc in the front so the under/front arms wount touch the chassi when i have maximum drop. Im running my car with a Novak Mongoose system, and it is a 10.5T motor. I used to run the explosive 8.5T but the trottle curve is way harder and more punchier then the 10.5T, that motor in combo with heavier gearing a lot smother , same speed. I think i have around 100 packs with this car, and it is fantastic!! i can only hope that it will be allowed in the cup that we run in...

last practice days i have been testing some rubber setups on the car, and did find that Xray M18T Mini pin tires are the tire to use..hey have fantastic grip, and tons of steering!. The negative is the weight of those rubbers..a Spice rim with JACO foam app 55mm diamater weights app 19.4 vs 30.1 for the rubber...and it feels in the car, but in a nice way..I think for outdoor usage this car will rock!!. Since i have put away my 1/10th car for 1/8th Nitro i will run this car when i want to relax ;)...

Så..skal försäka mig på lite av nån form av summering på detta chassi-kit. Team Bluegrooves 190mm conversion för Xrays lilla M18T Pro. Från 165---->190mm ökar hjulbasem o det e ingen LITEN ökning...många tror säkerligen att bilen blir sävlig o slö..o en sak e säker, det e raka motsattsen, vissa hävdar att den kortare bilen e snabbare, men det tror ja inte på..Du kan pressa bilen ännu hårdare än tidigare, bilen e förlåande, dock kvarstår misstagen iom att du pressar den mera..Jag har säkert kört runt 100 pack, o jag kan bara lyfta på hatten för denna!!. När man köper detta chassi så är det 1.5mm o det är för klent för carpet racing, så ka köpte ett extra o limma ihop det =). ( ett Tp_Parts "TP4" e på G..kommer o va 2.5mm toppdeck o botten..)
När ja skall koppla av från 1/8 Nitro så blir det denna bil ja komer o köra på green hill.

Jag har egentligen bara ett ord o säga, har ni chansen o pröva 190mm bilar, gör det!!.

No i am not leaving the Xray TBG BG4 , i am using that model in the summertime outdoor on our Astroturf and maybe some other offroad tracks ?. Since all my other modells are AE based, i want to make it easy.. Ordered the new TEK18T chassi from Exotek

Så, nu e bollen i rullning...nu ere 3e gången gillt att ja Kör RC18 =)...Valet föll på Exoteks nya T chassi, stickpack modell istället för bökiga saddlepack bilen..slipper o hela joxalamoxala...

Jag har faktiskt inte bestämt mig om ja skall anv mig av en RC18B ft bil...det e relativt mycket man inte anv i den, men ja vet inte...nackdelen e att LPH.com inte har assen hemma, utan bara thetoyz.

Jag kommer att sikta på lätt men stryktålg bil, dock kommer jag att gå emot strömmen o använda mig av Xray M18T Pros underbart fina Aluminium dämpare. Enda jag får göra är att byta främre dämparaxeln, till kortare alt köra limiters i dom. JAg har redan en upps FT dämpare liggandes, som dock e i av stort renoveringsbehov, men dom finns.

Ja, na ja vet inte, fundrade ett tag på...nu kom ja ihåg, ja har faktiskt no kvar min gamla custom lackade BJ4a kaross, dock e den inte vacker...trolige nen stock kaross blire.

Yes..finaky i had found a nice setup...Im using the M-Chassi rims from YR and they are shrouded with Proline 1/10th cut foams. They are outstanding..what nice grip, REAL good grip, minimal wear on the mini-pins. I have tons of steering, and no problem with rear traction. The maybe minus on this one, they are much heavier..20 vs 30gram for the rubber vs Foam.

Ojoj...nu vet ja varför man inte kör plastspindlar...halvt ack sen vare gonatt...ja har i dag kört med Xrays M18T Mini-Pin ire på mina M-Chassi rims..o satan i gatan va bilen går fint o mjukt! Den möjliga baksidan e att däcken e hela 10gr tyngre än foams..Men, inget anant lider. Tempen e fin runt 60-65. Diffen e inte utav denna värld. Kör min Xray Alu diff...den e ÄNNU lenare än den va ny. Banan va sjukt fin o bra...mer o mer gick ja in i den, gillade platån innan depån...Tyvärr mekade ja lite väl mycket denna gång o inte insåg att VANLIGA Buggy pinionge passar MUMMA, gick till 13T 1/10 stål, o bilen e som en jefvla dröm!! Banan va laggd av Nillman på klubben o de gick inte av för hackor..va lite tveksam i börna, men satan vilken skön banan!!

I will not say NO, but this summer there will be less 1/10 El buggy and more 1/8 Nitro Buggy. This is one of the last classes i have not tried yet. The other is 1/5 and 1/8 track..no rush for those.

So why this? simple, like to try it before i hand over everything to my kids. What is my goal?

To test and see if i like it..i thnik il do that, but i will give it a test..

Race? not sure, but why not, the 1/10th was raced so why not =).

Än en gång så blir det stora ändringar i mitt galleri...Jag har kört 1/10 el par år o tävlat lite med detta, kört ett par rejs per år..Totalt 2 RM 2 SC o sen par lokala race, samt inne race åxå...Jag slutar inte med EL 1/10, ja lägger dom på min hylla för ev framtida bruk. Jag skall juh TESTA 1/8, jag får en känsla av att många tror att jag aldrig sysslat med Nitro tidigare, det va de ja började med, o har haft i omgångar sådana bilar...det skall dock poängteras att jag aldrig tävlat i 1/8, ja fick chansen o testa en bil på våran hemma bana, men den va seeeg, mot min fullblods racetruggy ja hade då..Nu vill ja bryta ny mark o utvecklas, Elen kan ja o anser att ja vill prova på något ytterligare innan ja ger sakerna til mina barn för att förvalta mitt "arv" ;).

Jag har alltid gillat AE o kommer köra vidare på detta iom att jag har dess 1/10 bilar..

A real HARD week with a lot of work and then a vacation trip to Älvdalen (36 mil north of Sigtuna) Hard weather, and a lot of snow...i have recived my new Rubber Spice yellow rims, and will fixém with RObban upcoming Saturday...installed a new ESC my RB-50 from Teamwave...
